Technical Facts

  • Framework: Play-1.0 (http://playframework.org)
  • Version control: SVN
  • Total number of complete sprints to date: 4

Weird Facts

  • We lost sprint 1 to coolsoft.
  • Food was the best motive!
  • Database crackdown a couple of days before sprint 2 deadline
  • Some of us spent the night at the university (some went home at 6, others pulled an alnighter ON CAMPUS) to fix the database.
  • CX – Company actually made up a cross-team component refered to as CX. We later came to realize everyone took part in CX. :-)
  • The system had a different interface EVERY sprint!
  • There were more than 170 commits during the last hour of sprint 2!
  • We had over 70 ERD issues and over 45 different ERD versions!
  • During sprint 4 70% of the code was deleted and rewritten/refactored!
  • Google wave was announced ‘dead’ by Google right after we adopted it during Sprint 4.
  • Reviewers were competing to re-open others’ issues even though we’re the same company.
  • No one could discuss anything with the lead designer except the company manager .. politely!
  • Some watched cartoons in meetings, others played fifa during sprint 1 evalutaion. And well, some played cards.
  • We tried 3 communication protocols: forums, mailing lists, waves.
  • Most depressing mail ever: subject “Hane3mel eh”, body: “Law 5eserna hane3mel eh fel lecture hall :X”
  • Most adequate response to the previous thread: “w law kesebna hane3mel eh :X”
  • We had a “model” called Galal Aly *wink*
  • Some online meetings lasted for 5 hours.
  • The C1 UML was so dense that it was unreadable even when displayed via the projector on the wall at high res!
  • C3 UMLs were the best due to the fact that UML issues were to be re-opened 5 times per day .. at least! – Nominated as best reviewer
  • Smarterscrum alpha was up & running / hosted on TjWallas’s Birthday =D !
  • Even though smartsoft and coolsoft were competing, they were actually helping each other and exchanging tools and info.
  • Coolsoft and Smartsoft held sessions for each other to clarify the Play framework.
